A dated 1963 Park Avenue apartment was transformed into a bright, modern home for a young family. Though the two-bedroom unit featured spacious rooms and large windows, it had remained untouched for decades, with outdated finishes. The family sought a light-filled, serene space that fostered comfort and connection. To improve functionality, the layout was reimagined: the galley kitchen was opened into a family room by repurposing the former dining area, while the entry and living rooms were combined into one expansive space.

Thoughtful storage solutions were added throughout. A concealed sliding door allows the kitchen to be closed off when entertaining. The home was organized into public and private zones, with two bedrooms and a home office forming a quiet retreat. A large kitchen island now serves as a hub for meals, prep, and gatherings. High-quality finishes and a soft, neutral palette bring warmth, refinement, and practicality to this contemporary urban residence.
